Kaleidoscope

I recently discovered the Australian-based clothing label, Finders Keepers. I was immediately drawn into the sculptural designs and colorful prints. I came across this kaleidoscope printed dress that reminded me of Peter Pilotto's designs. You can discover more of Finders Keepers collection here

In Full Bloom

One of my recent buys was this pair of cherry blossom shorts that I am completely obsessed with. The soft pastel petals against the white baroque-like texture fabric was simply too hard to resist. I wore a white puff sleeved shirt (very Shakespearean-like no?) which gave the outfit a very romantic feel. I finished off the outfit with a baby pink purse and taupe suede pumps. Can you believe this purse is about 10 years old? Chanel rarely makes this shade of pink and it also goes to show that the 2.55 bag is so timeless and chic. Just as a forewarning: Chanel is my favorite purse brand so expect to see lots of it here on my blog!

Off The Shoulder

I recently discovered this dress while cleaning and reorganizing my closet to prep my summer wardrobe. I only wore this dress once and it was lost and forgotten for a few years. I was always a big fan of Missoni's chevron patterns and eye-catching color combinations. This off the shoulder piece is the perfect sun dress and great for a fiesta party in LA.

White & Black

I always gravitate towards black and white clothing. I like the simplicity of the colors and think they both look chic together. However, it can get a little monotonous if it's just plain black and white. One way to liven the outfit, is to incorporate some patterns or prints. Here, I wore a pair of daisy printed shorts with my black and white ensemble. I also added some gold accents to bring more dimension to my outfit.

A New Take On Cutoffs

One item every girl in SoCal must have is a pair of denim cutoff shorts. Most people like to dress their cutoffs very casually with flats and a t-shirt. However, I like a more polished look so I wore mine with a ruffle silk blouse and a pair of pointy stilettos. Fun fact: I DIY-ed these Levi cutoff shorts from an old pair of mommy jeans I bought at Goodwill for $7. How awesome of a steal is that? It was also really fun distressing them myself and adding my own personal style to it.

Casual Nudes

When I'm out with friends at brunch or shopping, I like to dress casually with a pair of distressed denim and a cross-body bag. My "Va Va Voom" Valentino is really versatile because it can be worn both as a crossbody bag and as a clutch (shown here). As you can already tell, I am a huge fan of the rockstud kitten heels. Here, I am wearing the watersnake rockstud heels that compliment my off-white purse. These heels can be dressed up or down and look great when you tuck the ankle of your jeans under the straps.

Sporty

I channeled my inner Sporty Spice for this look. The crop top has a white/green sports jersey trimming that emulates a cool sporty feel and perfectly juxtaposes the flirty circle skirt. I am also obsessed with these PVC pumps - super comfortable and they go with everything!

Hawaiian Florals

LA definitely felt like summer this past weekend. Temperatures climbed to high 80's and all I could think of is laying on Waikiki beach and feeling the ocean breeze while sipping pina colada. Maybe I'm just day dreaming a little too much, but it really got me into the Hawaiian mood. I love these silk tropical floral shorts, which I paired with a drapey pink top to complete the vibrant ensemble.

Edgy Meets Girly

This outfit perfectly encapsulates my style: edgy yet girly. I can never resist the cool, sleek look of a black leather jacket, but the girly-girl inside me just loves the color pink. I always try to find a balance between the two and somehow, it meshes well together in the end.
